When you provide your personal information through our Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as stipulated in this Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy, and our Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any of the provisions in the Privacy Policy you must refrain from using the Platform.

1. Data Collected
We may have to collect your personal information in order to personalize and improve your experience using our Platform. You may decide which information you would like to share with us, however, if you do not provide us with the necessary information your access to the Platform may be restricted. By consenting to provide your information to the Platform, you agree to our methods of collection and use, as well to other terms and provisions stipulated by this Privacy Policy.

The Company collects, processes, and retains the following information:

  • The information collected when you sign up for the Platform, as well as the information that you choose to share with us.

  • Required information such as your name, email address, birthday, and gender. Your email address will not be used for any purpose other than communication with the Platform and/or Counselor and will not be shared with outside parties.

  • Usernames and User IDs, which serve as your unique identifiers on the Platform.

  • Information that you post to a group chat or moderated session, as well as the information you share during a one on one session.

  • Your personally identifying information such as an address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

  • Payment details and relevant information for invoicing purposes.

 

2. How We Protect Your Data
The Company implements strict information security procedures, including physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, to protect the integrity and confidentiality of your information. We provide access to information to the dedicated Counselors who need it as part of their professional responsibilities. All our Counselors are instructed about the importance of confidentiality and nondisclosure through standard operating procedures and professional training programs. We take comprehensive disciplinary measures to enforce privacy responsibilities.

3. Privacy Enforcement
Counselors using the Company’s information resources in opposition to this policy may be subject to disciplinary and/or legal action, suspension of privileges, and termination of the contract. All Counselors go through rigorous vetting processes meeting or exceeding national credentialing standards, and have their background checks performed.

4. Cookies and Web Beacons
Our website uses "cookies" and "web beacons" to collect information. Cookies and web beacons enable the technical operation of the Platform, administer your log-in to your account, and collect the Log Data. If you don’t want to accept cookies, you can switch them off in your browser’s settings. However, that may limit your access to the Platform. Third-party cookies may also be used for the purposes of web analytics, attribution, and error management.

5. Phishing
We advise you to be diligent at all times when someone asks for your account information. Note that we will never request your login information or your credit card data in any non-secure manner (via email, phone, or otherwise). Attempts to extract this information may be considered phishing — a fraudulent way of obtaining sensitive information by someone posing as a legitimate entity.


6. International Data Transfer
By sharing your information through the Platform you acknowledge that it may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your city, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction. The physical storage of data will not undermine its security. By consenting to our Terms and Conditions you agree to such transfers of your data.


7. Compliance with Laws
Necessary or appropriate information may be disclosed in order to protect the health and safety of the public or any person, in response to claims and legal
process, and to prevent or stop dangerous or illegal activity. In particular cases, law enforcement or other authorities may require us to disclose information submitted to the Platform or shared during a one on one session. Additionally, you should be aware that the law requires Counselors to disclose information and/or take action in the following cases: (a) reported or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult; (b) serious suicidal potential; (c) threatened harm to another person; (d) court-ordered presentation of treatment.


8. All personal data provided by you to the Platform can be viewed and edited at any time. It is your responsibility to supply us with accurate and complete data and update it whenever needed. This is necessary for the effective performance of the Platform and provision of counseling and related services.
In accordance with the laws granted to you, you can exercise your right to opt-out of all data processing, or request the deletion of your data. Depending on the local regulations, in some cases, we may be obliged to retain personal medical data.


9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
The company reserves the right to update this privacy statement at our sole discretion. We encourage you to revisit this page periodically in order to remain up-to-date with the latest information on our Privacy Policy and practices. Before administering any changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you and give you the option to opt-out.
